Annapurna Circuit Trek
Hi,
I’m looking for a trekking partner/partners for a shortened Annapurna Circuit Trek.
I’m arriving in Kathmandu on 22 August and plan to spend a couple of days there before travelling to Besi Sahar (and onwards to Chame by jeep, if possible – I am aware it will be monsoon season, so am looking to avoid trekking at the lower levels at the start of the circuit). I’m then planning to teahouse trek to Jomsom at a steady pace in approx. 12 days, and then fly to Pokhara (and fly/drive back to Kathmandu).
My timetable and budget is flexible, but I will be flying out from Nepal on Friday 9 September. Please get in touch if you’re interested – I’m also open to suggestions for other routes if anyone is looking for a partner.
Thanks,
Tom

Hey tom!
im also planning to do the annapurna starting around exactly the same time. i was originally planning to do it alone but i became slightly worried about horror stories of monsoon rains and getting stuck in a landslide. so yeah, having a partner/group would seem more sensible.
i was gonna do the full 20 day circuit but yeah.. just let me know if you’re still keen to do the trek on those dates 🙂 ill be arriving in katmandu around the 22/23. im pretty flexible on dates too – will probs be flying back to the uk around the 14th.

Hi emily,
I’m also looking for people to join and go trekking with.
I’m arriving in Kathmandu aug 23 and will be staying there for a few days.
My timetable and budget is flexibel too.
I stay in Nepal for a month.
I’m thinking to do the full Annapurna circuit but I’m open for anything else too.

Hey all!
My boyfriend Jordan and I also have similar plans. We would ideally like to do the whole 20 day circuit as well but of course are super flexible with monsoon/group plans. We will arrive in Kathmandu on August 23. Let me know what you think!

Hi guys, really good to hear from you! I’ve now booked in for a couple of nights in Thamel (22nd and 23rd), and am hoping to get trekking soon after that.
I’m not realistically going to have time for the full 20-day circuit, but would be really keen to join for the first part. I think I need to build in some transport buffer days to get back to Kathmandu for my flight out on 9 September, so ending my trek at Jomsom is probably sensible. Sounds like you guys may have time to go on after that and finish the whole thing (I’m very jealous)! I’ll drop you a line about where I’m heading in Thamel and we’ll see if we can fix a plan.
Would still be great to hear from anyone else interested in the rough intinerary so far. Cheers, Tom

Hi Thomas,
Good to hear from you! The current plan is to catch the bus from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar on either 24th or 25th and start the trek from there. It might be possible to drive up some of way from Besi Sahar (to avoid the rains and leeches at the lower levels), but we won’t know for sure until we’re there. As I said above, I’m not going to have time to do the full circuit unfortunately, but could trek with you until Jomsom (and it’s possible that there may be some others who would want to finish the circuit with you after that). I had intended to follow loosely the Lonely Planet intinerary, which suggests 12 days for the trek from Besi Sahar to Jomsom (with a rest day in Manang). Let me know if you’re still interested!
Thanks,
Tom
Hi there! I’m arriving in Kathmandu Aug 21, hoping to leave for Pokhara the next day and begin trekking either by the 23 or 24th. I’m wanting to do Annapurna but also don’t have time for the 20 day trek, so a shortened version would be ideal for me too. Would love some trekking partners for that time!
Id love to join you too! I’ll be in pokhara on the 21st of August and ready to start on the 23rd!
Hey guys! I land in Kathmandu this afternoon and am keen to get trekking pronto. From what I’ve read, I think I’d like to do the Annapurna Circuit but like the rest of you, don’t have that much time, as I have to be in India by the 12th.
If anyone is in Kathmandu perhaps we could meet up and discuss things? Alternatively I could start up a WhatsApp chat group if you give me your phone numbers?
Look forward to hearing back, cheers 🙂
