Annapurna Circuit November

Wow, my dreams are about to come true! 🙂 I am heading towards Nepal and plan to walk Annapurna Circuit. It would be great to share this experience! Let me know in case you are interested.

The plan is to start from Kathmandu on November 4th and be back in Kathmandu on November 15th (finish the trek in Jomsom and fly/drive from there to Pokhara). I do not intend to hire any guides or potters.

I’m 29 year old female with love for sports and mountains.

  1. Hi, I am thinking of trekking around that time. Do you know how much the drive from Jomsom is?

    • Hi Laura,

I don’t know about the bus, but the flight is around 100 US dollars.

  2. Hi, I’m, thinking to Annapurna too, I’m fit & experienced and would like to do the thing independently. If you are interested in speaking about it, i sent my mail adress by PM.
    cheers from Italy

    • Hi Luigi,

Nice to hear from you. I replied to your message. It is easier to talk via emails 🙂

  3. Hi, I am from Kathmandu. Planning to trek Annapurna Circuit. I want to trek independently, not interested to hire any guides (trekking route is well-known) or porters. It would be good to have some company. Let me know if you are interested.
For your information. Kathmandu to Dumre 134 Km, Dumre to Pokhara 76 Km by road(East to West). Annapurna Circuit starts from Beshisahar. Beshisahar(Lamjung) is 42,8 Km North-West of Dumre, Beshisahar to Chame 65 Km unpaved road, Then on foot Pisang, Manang, Yak khark, Phedi, Thorang Pass, Muktinath, Jomsom. By plane Jomsom-Pokhara-Kathmandu.

    • Hi Bhagawan,

Nice that you want to join.

Thanks a lot for the info. I was actually thinking of taking a bus from Kathmandu to Beshisahar, then a jeep to Syange and start walking from there.

  4. Hello,
I would love to join you for the trek if you are still looking for hiking partners as I am also planning to complete the circuit in November without porter and/or guide.

I am currently in Ghandruk doing voluntary work until October 29th. Next weekend, weather allowing, I will use my free time to go to the ABC. I will be back down in Pokhara on October 28th to leave some of my gear and buy both the required TIMS and ACAP permits to be able to trek within the Annapurna Conservation Area without a guide. If you want to start from Besi Sahar around November 4-5th, that would be perfect timing for me. I also want to finish in Jomsom but will rather take a bus as I have time and it will be cheaper.

Let me know if you would be interested in teaming up or if you have any question. We can organize a SKYPE meeting.

Take care and hopefully, see you soon.

    • Hi Niv,

Great, looks like our schedules will be matching very well. I will be coming to Kathmandu on the 2nd of November. I was thinking of spending one day in the city (03.11), buy the permits, and go to Beshisahar on the 4th. We could meet there.

Sure, we can talk on skype. I should be online this afternoon/evening.

  5. Hello,
I see you are looking to do a similar route, are you still planning on doing the trek through upper manang to Thorung-La? any news if the route is open or not? I would love to join up, although i may continue after Jomsom, i will be flying in on the 29th of October and will be in the Kathmandu area for the following days.
look forward to hearing from you, looks like there is a good group forming here 🙂

    • Hi Khale!

Happy to hear that you want to join.

Yes, I am still planning to follow the “regular route” via Manang and Thorong-La. It is a little difficult to find precise information online whether or not it has been reopened. But I am quite sure, it will be – by the time we are there.

I will send you my email address via private message.
