Annapurna circuit eraly april

Am planning to do the Annapurna Circuit in the beginning of april. I land in Katmandu the 30th of march and want a couple of days to relax and get organized. I fly out again the 28th of april, so I do have a bit of flexibility as to which date I leave for Bhulbhule. I don’t want to rush through though, so somewhere between the 2. and 6. would definitely be the best.

I don’t terribly mind going alone, but for safety reasons as well as company I would prefer to have at least one partner. Originally I was hoping not to bring a guid, but if you’d like that I don’t mind at all. Don’t think I need a porter though.

I’m in good shape, but as I said feel no need to rush trough the trek, I want this to be “relaxing” experience. I’m just not the stressed type;-) I am the happy kind of person, and all tough I don’t need to have someone to talk to constantly; a good portion humor is necessary I love to laugh!

Do get in touch!

  1. Heyy heyy,

Any chance in doing 5-7 days Trekking , i have a flight to catch on the 22th April, otherwise i’m don’t mind. i was intending to do the short Annapurna circuit (a.k.a PoonHill circuit , 5days starting on 13-14 April )

what do you think of this ?

  2. Hey Marika,

I am planning to do the same trek than you around the same time. I’ll arrive in Katmandu on the 27th of March. My “philosophy” is to enjoy as much as possible so no rush while on the trek.
Otherwise no guide nor porters. Easy going, love to laugh as well (who doesn’t ! ) and hope to have a great time.

Let me know and either way, enjoy !

  3. Hi Marika!

I’m planning to do the Annapurna Base camp too! I will land in Kahtmandu the 2nd of April, and planned to start my trek around the 4th.

It’s funny, I could “copy and paste” your philosophy about your trip and it will perfectly fit for me as well! I don’t have a lot of things to add so… 🙂
I’m in a good shape too but I didn’t trek a lot in my life so I would like to enjoy peacefully the trip and don’t rush for a performance.
I hope to find people to share and laugh with, and if I’m not alone I will have “no guide nor porters” like Thibaut said before me 🙂

Have a good day and hope to hear from you!

  4. Hi Marika (and all above),

We arrive to Kathmandu on the 5th. Planning on going to AC/ABC after a few days. Anyone interested in sharing costs itinerary? Laid back Irish couple looking to enjoy the trekking, but don’t want to rush it either! 🙂

  5. Hi everyone 🙂

I am looking for a similar experience, though I have more time on my side – I will be in Nepal for 2 months.
I arrive in Kathmandu Mon 7th April and looking to get out on a trek as soon as possible. Travelling solo though and would greatly appreciate some company as this is my first intensive trekking experience.

I have posted a trip here: though as you will see my plans are very much up in the air at the moment!

  6. Marika,

How flexible are you with your dates? I am assuming I will need a couple of days in Kathmandu to find my feet so probably get a bus to Pokhora on the 10th April? It is my birthday on the 9th so don’t fancy travelling all day!!

  7. Hi everyone! Really want to do the annapurna circuit as well! I will be in pokhara the 11th of April en have to be back in Kathmandu on the 30th so I was thinking to start in besi Sahar and finish in Jomsom in like 14-16 days! Also traveling alone so when I can find company I don’t think we need guide/porter. If anyone is interested and also be in pokhara the 11th we maybe could have an amazing experience!
