Hi All,

I will be in Nepal from March 28th to May 5th. I have an open itinerary during that time, but am so far leaning toward doing the Annapurna Circuit, including the Sanctuary. I hiked the sanctuary in 2006, with friends, but am doing this visit alone. I am seeking trekking partner(s). I am open to other routes. Hit me up if you are interested, or just want to bounce ideas off each other to help be better informed.

I have done some investigation into the Annapurna Circuit, and understand that the road being built on the East side of the trek may make it less enjoyable than it was just a few years ago. I am wondering if this is the best time to do the trek or if the road has already done its toll on the trek. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks, Namaste,

Joe

Hello,

I’m going to be in Nepal from 27th March til 22nd April 2012 and I’m planning on doing the Annapurna Circuit, (flying into/out of Kathmandu).

I would be interested in sharing a porter/guide and the trekking experience if our dates can match up. I’ve never been to Nepal before but have done some trekking in S. America, Morocco and New Zealand.

Let me know if you’re interested.

Vanessa,

Thank You for the offer, I extended my trip too 7 weeks, and am now not sure what exactly I will be doing first. I very much want to do three passes and then Annapurna circuit/sanctuary. Just not sure how that will work out, and probably won’t know till I am in KTM. I understand flights to Lukla are sometimes difficult to get if there is weather. Anyway, I wish there was a method of hooking up with fellow trekkers once in Thamel.

Hi all!
I’ll be in Nepal in April (6-22). We are planning trekking in Langtang (Gosainkund) – 6 days, rafting (2 days) and Chitwan – 3 days. With some Kathmandu days inbetween (Swayambunath, Budhanath temples + of course Thamel).
Just in case you didn’t know Gosainkund trek is easy (4600 m – max altitude) but very scenic and unspoiled by crowds like Annapurna or EBC treks. It’s a great choice for those who haven’t been on high altitude previously.
If you are interested – drop me a line at BORIS at KAYAK dot LV.
Here’s a short video I shoot last year there:

Have a nice trip, all of you!
Boris.
