Overview
Tiji Festival is Mustang’s important festival celebrated to chase away demons and mark the beginning of the wet season. The 3 days annual festival is believed to tell the story of a deity named Dorje who must battle against his demon father to save the Kingdom of Mustang from destruction, as his father wreaks havoc in Mustang by creating water shortage.
