Overview
Saribung Expedition Trek is a newly opened Trekking route in 2006. It is a challenging trekking trail off the beaten track crossing also a difficult pass. Saribung is part of Mustang and Damodar Himal, close to the border of China (Tibet). The trails are rugged, cutting high into cliff sides and pass villages that have changed little over the last centuries. Saribung Trek can also be done the other way round for which the trek would start from Phu and then ascend to Saribung pass and enter in the Mustang “Hidden Valley” and return to Jomsom or clockwise for which the trek starts from Jomsom and follows the Upper Mustang trail and descends to Nar-Phu valley and ends at Besisahar.
There are many passes with ice and creases in between the Damodar Kunda and the Nar-Phu valley. The trek leads through great sceneries and different cultures. The main important thing is the spectacular mountain scenery, which will see from the top of Mt. Saribung.
