Since then I have been leading trips in the Himalaya of Nepal and Tibet. Currently my leading destinations are Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Tsum Valley and Manaslu, Nar Phu, Upper Mustang, Numbur Circuit, Everest Base Camp and Three Passes, Langtang with Ganja La, Laurbina La Pass in Gosainkunda region, Upper Mustang - Thorong La and Mesokanto La, Lake Manasarovar Kailash Kora, Everest Base Camp North via Lhasa.
Overview
- Mt. Manaslu, Sama Gaun, Larkya La Pass, Moanasteries, Lakes,,,
The trek normally starts in Gorkha, first heading east and then north up the valley of the Budhi Gandaki, finally making a circuit behind Mt. Manaslu (8163m). Over the Larkya La (5213m) there is huge amount of climbing as you trek up and down over ridges and onto shelves to bypass cliffs. The trail is rough and steep and it offers literally hangs on a bluff high above the river and many bridges. This trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating however it is challenging while crossing the Larkya La Pass.

Hi
looking for Manaslu trekking partner to have the min. required 2 trekkers, starting 2nd or 3rd of November 2014 for ca. 16-18 days. Got alternative offers for ca. 800$ for this trek (certainly much cheaper if organized on-site, while th 800$ would also be previously organized).
Myself – German, 40 yrs, fit.
Just get in touch via reply.
Hi Michael,
Let’s see if we can help find you some partners to split the permit requirement. Was the $800 quote you received from Krishna, the guide listed here, or another guide off-site? Have you already posted a partner request for this trip?
Alex
Hi Michael,
Are you still looking for someone, as my itinerary is very similar to yours. I arrive in Kathmandu on the morning of 2 November and I’m looking to do the Manaslu circuit for around 16 days or so, as I fly out on the 22 November. I’m a 28 year old keen walker from England.
Looks forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Tom
