I am Ramesh Duwadi, a trekking guide in the himalayan region of Nepal. I started my carrier as a trekking porter in 1998 and got a licence to be a trekking guide in 2002. From 2002, i am continuously guiding in the himalayan region of Nepal.
Overview
Ghorepani trekking which lies in the Annapurna Region is the shortest and most popular trekking route in Nepal starting from the beautiful city Pokhara. The trek provides you with splendid varieties of natural beauty. The combination of snow capped mountains, deep gorges, soothing clear lakes, turbulent rivers etc. is bound to give you a thrilling experience. The trek goes through appealing villages populated by the Gurung people, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys. The trek offers some of the great and best views of Annapurna Region including the great mountain peaks like Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south, Nilgiri, Tukuche peak, Dhapus peak, Machhapuchhre, (Fish tail, 6993m). Moreover, don’t forget to spot Annapurna II, III, IV, Lamtang Himal, Dhaulagiri I (8167m) and many more.
The traditional life style, the unique culture and the beautiful village would caste their spells on you. You will spend some really memorable moments that would certainly go into your permanent memory. The trek is loaded with beautiful sceneries with lots of discoveries and lots of remarkable moments. While on Ghorepani Trekking you will arrive at an outstanding spot called “Poon Hill” which is the best and well-known spot to see the sunrise and the gorgeous views of Nepal Himalaya.
