Overview
This is an outstanding highland trip, more of a walking journey with time to immerse in the beautiful surrounding with time to explore villages and monasteries and to sample the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people in the comfort of the high altitude cozy hotels and resorts.
Adventure begins with a sweeping flight to Lukla, a popular destination, which provides a fascinating, contrast to the high mountainscapes as the flight approach nearer to our destination. With our flexible itinerary days one can walk slowly enjoying the lovely surrounding and its people.
This wonderful trip ends to and from Lukla with a destination to the Syangboche hill top for the outstanding views of Mt.Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Lhotse shar, including the magnificent Mt.Ama Dablam, Kangtenga, Thermasarkhu, Kwangde and the sacred peak of Khumbi-la.
An exciting trip that leads to the Sherpa capital Namche Bazaar, with time to acclimatize before heading higher elevation, after a wonderful time here, then following the quite trail to Syangboche hill top with incredible view of Mt. Khangtiaga, Mt. Thamserku and the Nuptse – Lhotse wall with the Mt.Everest rearing above. On reaching to the highland Resort at Syangboche with ample time for local hike around the traditional Sherpa village of Khumjung and Khunde visit the monastery, the only monastery that owns a Yeti scalp.
One can hire a pony for the ride around as far to Thyangboche, an excellent view point of the magnificent Mt.Ama Dablam 6,900m and other great snow giant’s peaks.
Our descent will take us to the Monjo and Benkar village, before returning to Lukla. A scenic flight to Kathmandu concludes a spectacular walking journey to the roof of the world.
Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu.1,300m.
Day 02: A day in Kathmandu with half day tour.
Day 03: Kathmandu-Lukla. 2,800m. Approx: 45 minutes flight to Lukla.
Day 04: Trek to Monjo 2,835m via Phakding. 5 hrs.
Day 05: To Namche Bazaar 3,440m. Approx. 3-4hrs.
Day 06: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar.
Day 07: Trek to Syangboche 3,700m. 2-3 hrs walks.
Day 08-09: At Panorama Resort 3,700m.
Day 10: Trek to Phakding 5 hour walks.
Day 11: Trek back to Lukla. Approx distance: 3-4 hours walk.
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 13: In Kathmandu.
Day 14: Transfer to Airport for the International departure.
