As a single woman traveler I was worried about heading off into the mountains for 12 days with a man, but Leela totally made the trip a positive experience. He was very professional, happy, helpful and totally looked after me. Even though he wasn’t much older than me, I felt like I was his daughter he was taking care of. When I compared him to other guides I saw along the way, he was the one always being social, laughing with the locals, and bringing good energy. He pushed me to do the extra acclimatization hikes after arriving at our daily destinations, which proved to be very helpful in crossing the pass.
