Mingma and I trekked to the Everest base camp together. He was an excellent guide and companion. His English is excellent and we had many great conversations about the local geography and culture. He picked great lodges along the way, and was always there for assistance.

I’m a fairly self-sufficient traveler, so I probably didn’t benefit from all his services. He often offered to carry some of my gear, but I always managed on my own. On some days I let him go off ahead of me to secure a lodge. He kept me well informed, and I never had any surprises.

My only critic was in Lukla when we had our flight cancelled. His knowledge of local helicopter providers was a little weak. All-in-all I am extremelly satisfied with his services. He gave me good advise, walked at a reasonable pace and showed me all the things I wanted to see. He was very acommodating, sometimes waiting hours for me to get some perfect pictures. He also took some great pictures of me.
