This was my 4th trekking trip in Nepal (8th visit overall) and Dawa was the best guide I’ve met. I would whole heartedly recommend him because to find a guide who’s intuitive, attentive and informative is not easy…and Dawa has all those qualities! He knows when to give client some space or when the client need more support, especially for physically demanding trip like Tsum valley and Manaslu. During descent from Larke pass, especially the first hour after the pass, I found it quite difficult, especially because I have a pin in one of my big toe post- surgery. He’s very supportive and highly safety conscious !! He’s also very informative about the Nepalese culture, the tribes, the customs along the trail, the do’ sand the don’ts…… I felt that I have learned a lot more from him on this trip, compare to the other cultural trek I did few weeks earlier. (I also did ‘indigenous people’ trek with different guide..which supposedly a cultural experience trekking, where I stayed with different tribes each night for 8 days. But my guide on IP trail wasn’t informative at all…in fact he didn’t seem to be interested on his own culture).
