I am planning the Annapurna trek for some Indians, who intend to be in Kathmandu on the 30th June and leave by the 13th July. They were planning the base camp but for the weather conditions around that time they are wanting options. I have been refered to by Alex. Kindly revert back with more sugggestions from your end.
As your plane I suggest you to do Upper Mustang Trek. The Upper Mustang trek brings you into the hidden world of the old Buddhist kingdom of Mustang. Mustang lies in the rain shadow of the Dhaulagiri and you walk in a complete desolate landscape and it is certainly a great trek. So many people do this during the monsoon. This is approximately two weeks trek.
Will it possible to send me an itinerary as per the details given below. Arrival in Kathmandu on the 30th June and return on 13th July. Also if you can send an indicative cost to undertake the trek and your charges.
Dear Timlr,
As per your details. Arrival in Kathmandu on the 30th June and return on 13th July. I have worked the itinerary for this trek with price as you requested. Please go through the itinerary given below.
The itinerary as follows:
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. (B.B.)
After you land in Kathmandu, I will be there at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA. You will be then transferred to the hotel. We can either relax in the afternoon or hang around. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (823m) 7-8 hrs drive: (B.B.) on evening. In the morning after having breakfast you can go yourself to visit Kathmandu, the “City of Temples”. Later in the afternoon drive to Pokhara through the beautiful Nepalese countryside where one will explore the landscape, beautiful valley with interesting settlement on the mountain. Once you reach in Pokhara, transfer to the hotel in lake side.
Day 03: Fly to Jomsom (2710m.) & trek to Kegbeni (2800m.) 3-4 hrs, overnight at guest house. (B.L.D.)
Today we fly to Jomsom (windy valley) in the early morning, then after some initial preparation of loads, our trek leads towards northern valley of Kaligandaki by crossing suspension bridge. It is tiring walking through the bank of the river where one can enjoy the views snow peaked mountains such as Dhaulagiri, Tukuche and Nilgiri, whilst to the south can be seen the entire Annapurna massif. Enjoy your evening to walk around the village which is very interesting with its settlement where clustered type of house can be found. Overnight at guest house.
Day 04: Trek to Chele(3050m) 6-7 hrs ,overnight at guest house. (B.L.D.)
The trek starts towards north valley of Kagbeni to Chele where we pass the beautiful village of Tangbe, with its picturesque traditional houses and fields of barley, buckwheat and apple orchards. We enjoy views of the magnificent Nilgiri peak and cross several ridges. After Chhusang village, we cross a stream and leave the Kaligandaki valley behind to reach the village of Chele, where we stop and overnight guest house.
Day 05: Trek to Geling (3520m) 5-6 hrs, overnight at guest house.(B.L.D.)
After breakfast the trail leads you to the village of Samar to a ridge and then descend into a large gorge past a Chorten before entering another valley which filled with juniper trees. Then cross a stream and after climbing to a pass, we descend along a ridge to Shyangmochen, a tiny settlement with a few tea shops. Nearby is Rangbyung, a cave containing stalagmites in the form of a Chorten and one of the holiest places in Mustang. The trail continues descends to Geling, with its extensive fields of barley and stop there overnight at guest house.
Day 06: Trek to Charang (3500m) 5-6 hrs, overnight at guest house.(B.L.D.)
Today’s walk is through perhaps the driest part of Mustang, and much of our energy will be spent negotiating the loose, dry soil. However, the magnificent views of the countryside, from the gentle contours of the north to the rugged mountains in the east and west, more than compensates for the hard climb. Finally, we come to Charang, a large spread-out village at the top of the Charang Chu canyon. At the eastern end of the village are a huge dzong [fortress] and a red gompa (monastery) which houses an excellent collection of statues and thangkas.
Day 07: Trek to Lo-Manthang (3700m) 6-7 hrs overnight at guest house.(B.L.D.)
We will spend part of the morning exploring the interesting village of Charang and its large monastery, before setting out for Lo Manthang. We climb gently above the valley to a large isolated Chorten that marks the boundary between Charang and Lo Manthang. The trail then broadens and eventually we get our first view of the walled city of Lo Manthang. The city has only one entrance so we circumambulate the wall to the gate on the north-east corner. We begin our return journey from Lo Manthang, taking the upper highland route. This highland route offers dramatic views of Lo Manthang and the Charang Valley, with snow clad peaks in the background. Just past the settlement of Lo Gekar, we reach the oldest monastery in Mustang, the Ghare Gompa. Stay overnight at Lomanthang.
Day 08: Explore (Acclimatization) Day at Lomanthang (3700m), overnight at guest house.(B.L.D.)
We have allowed full day to explore this outstanding historical and cultural centre. There are 4 major Gompas to visit during our stay. The palace is the home of the raja (King) and his rani (queen) is the attraction as well as the surrounding panoramic views of the Himalaya. Although the raja’s function is now finished as we have republican democracy. The town itself is fascinating, and offers countless opportunities to observe a vibrant Tibetan culture. There are many places to explore and manage your time to explore the places. Every monastery requires the donations and entry fees which is made by your own.Overnight at Lomanthang.
Day 09: Lo-Mangthang to Ghemi (3520m) 5-6 hrs, overnight at guest house. (B.L.D.)
After a wonderful time at Lo-Mangthang we depart to Ghemi, overnight at guesthouse.
Day 10: Ghemi to Samar (3666m) 6-7 hrs, overnight at guest house.(B.L.D.)
Today, we continue down to Samar through the Ghiling valley which will be dusty dayOvernight at guest house.
Day 11: Samar to Jomsom (2700) 8-9 hrs, overnight at guest house.(B.L.D.)
This will be our last day of trek which is quiet long. We will be walking through the valley all the time to get in to the Kagbeni where we had our first night of the trek at the beginning. Once we reach Jomson, we will celebrate the achievements of the trek with the crew and reflect on our journey. Stay overnight at Jomsom.
Day 12: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara. (B.B.)
After breakfast we check in the Jomsom airport to fly back to Pokhara. This is a dramatic flight between George of the two huge mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri which is known as the deepest George in the world. On arrival at Pokhara airport i will transfer to the lakeside hotel. Rest of the time explores the lake and overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu 7-8 hrs, overnight at Hotel.
Day 14: Departure on your own destination.
On your own destination i will shift you to the airport for your way back to home country.

Hi – I’m interested in hiring just a guide for a Manaslu trek. I’ll be arriving in KTM on the Sep 26 and would be available to trek for about 13 days. I understand it may be necessary to tent due to earthquake damage in villages, this is OK. Are you interested in coming as a guide?
Thanks!

Hi, we are going to Nepal in the end of February together with my girlfriend and we would like to hike Manaslu Circuit trek (with some side trips, for example Manaslu Base Camp, Birendra Lake, Pung Gyan Gomba and Lho Gomba etc). We would like to start to hike sometimes between 3rd and 5th March. Would it be possible to hire you as a guide in this time and for this trek? Beside of your guidining, we would need also arrange all necessary permits. . . Thanks for your answer :). Best regards, Martin
Thank you for your message. Yes, it is possible starting from 3rd to 5th March but I’m really sorry that I might not be able to join you this time. I can make sure of a guide who will be really perfect to assist you during your trek. You need not worry about any documentation. I will make sure of it that your all paperwork will be completed on time.
