Manaslu road building

My friend and I wanted to do the manaslu circuit because it sounded more remote and less busy than the AC or EBC, but I heard they were currently constructing a road. Could anyone who has done manaslu this season give feedback on the level of construction and how often the trail is near the road? Would the Langtang circuit be a better alternative? Thanks!
