Family Trek in March 2016

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good trek for a family (2 adults, children 9 & 11 – all good walkers) for March 2016.

We are looking for low cost options, trying to understand if it is best to hire our own guide/porter from Kathmandu or join an organised trek.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Dear Emma,
Welcome to Nepal. I am Sudip Adhikari Trekking Organizer of Nepal. How many Days you are going to spend in Nepal? The cost and place can recommend well only after you provide your days. The cost also could be high even in organized trekking. It is always better to go with a reputed and certified trekking agency . Which part of Nepal are you planning to hiking? Please fell easy to contact me. or you can visit our company site: http://www.anepaltrek.com or http://www.ghorepanipoonhilltrekking.com .
You can mail me at sudipadhikari21@outlook.com

Hi Emma
Namaste
We could recommend Ghorepani PoonHill Trek, Royal Trek to you with your children aged 9 and 11 about 5-6 hours of walking daily. But we will be flexible for your pace. If you would like for further information about the packages that you would like to choose, please visit our website: http://www.himkalaadventure.com or

You can do Pokhara – Kande – Tolka – Landrung – Ghandrung – Tadapani – Ghorepani – Tirkedhunga – Pokhara in five days. There are good lodges and facilities all through. You can hire a guide and porters as needed from Pokhara. You need a ACAP permit and TIMS permit which you can get in Pokhara before your trek.
Good luck
