Everest Base Camp Crowds

I am planning a EBC hike next year, but was wondering about the trekking crowds situation. Have read articles and reports about crowded teahouses, food running out, etc. Does anyone have experience trekking in the month of March?

I am Sudip Adhikari Professional Trekking guide of Nepal having half decades of experience . I have been a lots of time in Everest Base Camp and other region . I did in different months. March is one of the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking. Everest is very famous and popular Trekking Region of Nepal. So, Crowd of people is normal in this region. But in March, It is the begging of the season so no of people is also will be less compare to high season. Normally the food will not be running out in this region because they bring food for trekkers from kathmandu and other part of Nepal. We can easily manage the hotels for you by booking early.
If you trek alone only then it could be the problem . If you have a expert guide he can manage everything for you.

I trek EBC 2 weeks ago. October and November is the peak trekking season but I never had a problem getting a room. March is off season.
There are lots of teahouses in the villages to choose from. Room rates usually is 500 rupees.
