Rajesh Neupane(Raj) was our guide for the Manaslu Valley and Tsum Valley for some 21 days.However he organizes trip all around the Nepal.
Leading up to this time, the days before the trek and on the 21 day trek I got to know Raj quite well.
From the onset Raj built a trust with my friend and I. He was flexible in his approach to our preparation requirements and was able to give us a fair and equity price for the trek.
Raj grew up in the area you are trekking in and his parents still live in the Manaslu Valley. His local knowledge and connections are invaluable on the trek as he knows the locals and connects with them been able to give you insight into their culture.
Raj is a very gentle and considerate man who takes great pride in training his staff to be customer centric with high standards of professionalism. He takes been a guide seriously and provides extra knowledge and attention that I did not see other guides provide. We had other groups admiring his guiding skills and especially the overviews he gave us each night.
Raj’s English skills are excellent for a Nepalese person with a second language and his dedication to his responsibilities is excellent. My career is in customer services working at Questacon – Australia’s National Science and Technology center – I am the center manager where customer service and professionalism is everything. Raj’ s personality, dedication to making my (and my sons) experience, his attention to safety and flexible nature of working with the groups needs cannot be understated.
My younger son is returning next year to Nepal and will connect up with and use Raj’s trekking company again as he (as well as us) have formed a special bond with this special person. I cannot recommend him higher.
